Vamonos is a Ride sharing app targeting Medellín city in Colombia. It helps users to find the nearest taxi and share it with others that have the same destination.

What is Vamonos?

Vamonos is a Ride sharing app targeting Medellín city in Colombia. It helps users to find the nearest taxi and share it with others that have the same destination. Users can easily use the web app without needing to download anything on their device. They can also schedule their rides earlier before arrival to Medellín so that there is no need to worry about their means of transportation when getting off the airplane.

What did we do in this project?

This project was developed using the React framework for the PWA and react-native on the driver’s mobile app. The back-end was a Node.JS connected to a Mongo database for easy and optimal data storage. We used Scrum as the project management tool in this project while the team was working across different time zones.
